Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form drama. She was taught by her mother to sing. However, she started more intense training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. In 2000, she relocated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
