She played Karen Walker, a character on the NBC series Will & Grace from 1998-2006 and 2017-2021. In her part on this sitcom she has received eight Primetime Emmy Award nods in Outstanding Female Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Additionally, she received being awarded the Screen Actors' Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Female Actor Performance in a Comedy Series, she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards and seven consecutive nominations. Her first acting credits included a McDonald's commercial with John Goodman. Her debut on the series was The Ellen Burstyn Show in 1986. In the following years, she appeared as an actor on Seinfeld in the role of with her frasier wings, Ned Stacey Mad About You Caroline the City 3rd Rock from the Sun Just Shoot me! She played a main character in a fifth season episode of Murder She Writes' Coal Miner Slaughter.
